What represent the wood for Jobel Group
The wood represents for us a priceless heritage, our daily energy. A place of artistic experimentation, a continuous research process that has lasted over 10 years, aimed at channeling all this energy that the forest gives us every day within our performance performances. The focus of our study is the relationship between man and nature, with a special focus on young people. Above all we try to create healthy and creative contact experiences with nature through our Artistic Campuses. The field of visual arts remains a completely unexplored. The wood around Jobel centre is still full of energy to be grasped and transformed into other forms of art than performative. Our aim is to combine our art with visual art in the wood by creating paths for children and young people.

The Project
Creation over the next 2 years of an interactive contemporary art park within the wood with permanent and semi-permanent works created during the course of artistic residencies. The park will be aimed at children, teenagers and adults. The artist is invited to develop the creation of a functional work that stimulates a healthy contact with nature in the all-aged people. The artist will be able to enjoy and be inspired by our study on the various emotional phases that the child experiences during contact with nature (from the first steps in the forest characterized by fear and mistrust to the complete connection with it), the result of work over 10 years. The project can be freely inspired by each of the phases that characterize this kind of experience.

Type of artists we are scouting for
We are interested in all types of artists and experimenters who can create works of contemporary art functional to the creation of an interactive park, which stimulates sensations and connections with nature in various forms, especially in the youngest. The residence is open to individual artists at all stages of their professional career
Visual arts: painting, drawing, sculpture, media art, installation, graphic arts, Film, photography, Music and sound art, Literature and literary translation, Illustration and design, Art theory, curatorial and art management
Each artist will be in close contact with nature and, inspired by it, will transform inspiration into a work of art.
The artists will be free to work in a self-directed way: there will be no pressure and deadlines to be respected during the course of the residency. Time management will be completely autonomous, they will be able to concentrate on research and the development of ideas in the ways and times they deem most appropriate.
In order to support and help the artists in the elaboration and implementation of the project, there will be a tutor in place to discuss ideas, projects and work progress during the period of residence, always respecting the rhythm and direction of the artists . A preventive program will not be provided to follow; the tutor's support sessions will be established together with the artist after his arrival. The tutor will act as a guide and support in establishing contacts, approaches and agreements necessary for the advancement of the project idea.
Each session hosts 3-6 artists simultaneously, coming from different disciplines, thus giving the participants a great opportunity for comparison, through interaction between peers and discussion groups. The Jobel Center brings together people with different skills, sensibilities, abilities and backgrounds, and for this reason embraces the idea of being an active platform of thought, discussion, production and sharing. Common spaces will be designed to promote not only collaboration between artists, but also to enhance interdisciplinary learning.
