Live to live - Live performance for sustainaible goals
Gruppo Jobel - Mission
The road towards a sustainable, peaceful, inclusive and environmentally-friendly future is not an easy path. In fact, in order to achieve this goal, a solid global partnership including every level of society is required. However, even raising awareness and spreading commitment in everyone is deeply challenging.
Gruppo Jobel – Art for Earth believes that art and creativity can play a critical role in order to produce the global mindset needed to achieve the goals, inspiring, energizing, shaking, and spreading commitment and information among local and international communities. For this reason, it promotes the incredible value of art, mainly supporting the expression of young generations of creatives to develop broad engagement about social and environmental topics, in collaboration with partners committed to sustainability all around the world.
What we do for sustainable
Gruppo Jobel – Art for Earth believes in the role of artists as privileged messengers to disseminate good practices and create new, sustainable ways of thinking through creativity and involving languages. To support partners, local communities and people, several flexible formats of multidisciplinary artistic actions were designed to be tailor-made and meet their specific needs.
Our mission is to turn carelessness into care and responsibility using information, awareness, and engagement as essential tools. We collaborate with institutions, both political and educational, local communities and multi-stakeholders partnerships. Gruppo Jobel contributes to the implementation of the 2030 Onu Agenda with educational programs, cultural events, and multidisciplinary activities. Gruppo Jobel also supports other corporations that operate in sustainable development fields, providing them with tested instruments and creating purposeful events. For example we offer artistic performances as interludes during conferences to make their impact more effective, we provide creative presentations, we enhance the potential of a prestigious location with either traveling or immersive shows, permanent installations in which both technology and live communication coexist, entertainment, effective communication, and conviviality are guaranteed together with the support of special guests and artists, one on one classes and thematic theatre courses for kids, young people, and families, where information and awareness are conveyed through a scenic type of communication, intensive workshops of variable length where people share views on environmental and social issues. Nothing more than sharing experiences connects people! That's why our goal is to build a shared vision and promote team cohesion and mutual understanding through indoor and outdoor creative group activities. Immersive educational experiences with different programs and goals for any age group aimed at encouraging both exchanges of views and team building actions. These activities can either take place in the Jobel Center, National Artistic Residency based in Torricella in Sabina - Italy or in other appropriate venues.

The project
The project is to stimulate the creation of live performances to be offered in theaters or squares in central Italy. The mission is to bring new artistic forms to raise awareness about the global challenges of our time. We will privilege the creation of shows that can be enjoyed by all types of public, able to overcome linguistic and socio-cultural barriers.
We firmly believe that our mission as artists is to stimulate people to make a radical change. We will explore new languages together, to try to convey this urgency as directly as possible. We will encourage artists to address these issues, stimulating discussion, to achieve a common goal.
We make our experience available to resident artists; we will share with them the studies done over the years to develop increasingly effective techniques together.

Type of artists we are scouting for
We are interested in all types of artists and experimenters who can perform live performances that stimulate sensations and connections with nature in various forms.
The residence is open to individual artists at all stages of their professional career Performing arts: Theatre, Dance, Music, Video, Live Installations
Each artist will be in close contact with nature and, inspired by it, will transform inspiration into performance. We think that it is essential for an artist during the creation of performace to breathe the scents of the forest on these themes, to see how the light changes according to the hours of the day, to listen to the sounds of animals, plants, to immerse oneself totally in silence to understand oneself, really , in the first person what we are losing.
The artists will be free to work in a self-directed way: there will be no pressure and deadlines to be respected during the course of the residency. Time management will be completely autonomous, they will be able to concentrate on research and the development of ideas in the ways and times they deem most appropriate.
In order to support and help the artists in the elaboration and implementation of the project, there will be a tutor in place to discuss ideas, projects and work progress during the period of residence, always respecting the rhythm and direction of the artists . A preventive program will not be provided to follow; the tutor's support sessions will be established together with the artist after his arrival. The tutor will act as a guide and support in establishing contacts, approaches and agreements necessary for the advancement of the project idea.
Each session hosts 3-6 artists simultaneously, coming from different disciplines, thus giving the participants a great opportunity for comparison, through interaction between peers and discussion groups. The Jobel Center brings together people with different skills, sensibilities, abilities and backgrounds, and for this reason embraces the idea of being an active platform of thought, discussion, production and sharing. Common spaces will be designed to promote not only collaboration between artists, but also to enhance interdisciplinary learning.
